Yorkshire Veterans Athletic Association 2020 If you are over 35 then you can represent DRR in the annual YVAA Grand Prix series. Races are held throughout the summer months (both on weekday evenings and weekends) and are typically 5-7 miles on multi-terrain courses. Full details on how to register are given on the YVAA Website here. Its free to register, and you collect your number at the first race you attend, which you need to keep and use at subsequent races. Each race has an entry fee of £5. Host Clubs usually provide a small buffet or cake afterwards. The 2020 Grand Prix schedule is gradually taking shape but the majority of the host clubs are yet to confirm dates.
Dates & Locations Those confirmed so far are Apr 19 - Honley (Holmfirth Harriers) (not necessarily the first race). May 26 - Kirkstall (Kirkstall Harriers). Aug 5 - Halifax (Halifax Harriers). Other events are being decided upon/considered by South Leeds Lakers, Stainland Lions, Saltaire Striders, Roundhay Runners, Spenborough &DAC, Ackworth, Pudsey Pacers and Horsforth Harriers. Note: The one-off registration form will appear 3 weeks before the first race. You only need to register once, but need to do so the day before the day of the first race you attend.
