At 12 years, I am currently one of the youngest members of Dewsbury Road Runners.
I joined with my Dad after becoming interested in running when I went to high school and joined the cross country club. The school club was not very good so I thought I would give road running a try.

Races

I have competed in fun runs, these are usually part of bigger events that my Mum and Dad have entered.
My best times have been for 3 mile runs that I have completed in just over 23 minutes.

Start

Harrogate 2.5 K Fun Run

For some reason I was given the number 1 for this race. I was a bit nervous because everyone was looking at me. I had my photo taken for the Harrogate Advertiser.
The race went well and I completed the 1.5 mile coure in 9 minutes 9 seconds. I finished 9th overall. I would have finished 8th if I hadn't thought the finish was on the start line, it was actually a bit further down the hill, but I will know for next year.
