Into the WILD
The days are going fast . The nights are creeping in. Trails a memory of summer past Pounding t'roads is grim It need not be so :- A group run throughout the winter with head torches using the trails normally reserved for summer runs .We generally do about 5/6 miles at a pace to suit the group. We always wait for the slowest and ensure that we run as a group cos it can be dark in "them there woods" .( We have only lost a few members and then always by design ). We are doing a taster session on tuesday 30/September ideally setting off at about 6-50 - meet at the sports centre as usual .All will be welcome .If you have a head torch that would be good but we can supply a limited number of torches on loan so that you can decide if you are interested .Proposed route --along river towards mirfield up through Hopton woods down to thornhill lees .This may change if it's v wet . If you are interested could you write your name down on the note attached to the notice board or post to face book or email Tim Harris or Tony Audsley . We should explain that these are not club runs .We normally make the route up on the night according to the weather etc . There are obstacles tree roots and stuff so care is needed but its a magical feeling running through the woods at night and its soooo much better than Bradford Road . Tim
