Summer Series 2007

What is it ?

The summer series are races for club members only which occur every summer on the usual club nights e.g. tuesday or thursday evening.

They are handicapped, over a variety of distances and terrains - so everyone has a chance of winning a prize in individual events.

The winner of the 3 race series will be decided by the best aggregate score in any 2 of the 3 races. Paul Ward won it last year when he had the best aggregate over the 2 races. This year there will be 3 races.

The final event is always a relay in which the club members are split up into teams and run over short distances (approximately 3/4 of a mile at Sands Lane)each.

Afterwards the prizes are handed out to the winning team, either A,B,C or D team.

The emphasis for these events is on participation and fun, and its one of the highlights of the club calendar - the more the merrier so please give them a go!

1. Thursday 31 May - 4 miles
2. Tuesday 5 June - 6 miles
3. Tuesday 12 June - Cross-country
4. Thursday 21 June - Relay
